Hello Everyone! As you may have read in The Loop! article, the Board has made enhancements to our communication process, we wanted to reach out and give you more detailed information. Please contact us if you have questions.
Thank you! HOW THE WEBSITE WILL CHANGE:
We wanted to create a “One Stop Shop” RC website where members can get all their needs met. We are designing a new website with upgraded usability. Vendor coupons from our community, a Craigslist type of “For Sale” component, supplier/vendor recommendations, real-time news, etc., will be available. One of the benefits we’ve already seen is that Kathy Adolphson is working to keep an updated, printer friendly RC Directory online and she will be taking pre-orders for printed copies so we can avoid printing unnecessarily.
HOW WE WILL COMMUNICATE WITHOUT AN RC NEWSLETTER:
We decided not to have an offsite newsletter (The RC News) anymore because we want to incorporate all of the RC information such as community and RC POA news, event information and pictures, the President’s Message, articles written by members and everything else RC related on the new website. Our current website will not accommodate this upgrade because it is limited in storage capacity.
HOW WILL I LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT MY EVENT?
We are teaming up with The Loop! which will carry all the same information for us it always has. The change will be that Roz will embed hyperlinks so that RC residents can click the link and be taken to the RC website where they can read the full information and see pictures or anything else associated with that article. Maybe you want to run a contest? Let members vote on something? Have members send in photos they took? We will be able to do these things for your event! Residents will need their login and password in order to be connected to the linked information.
WHO DO I SEND MY EVENT INFORMATION TO?:
All official RC POA communication will be sent out via The Loop!. Please send anything you want published to Roz (rcloop@yahoo.com), as you do now, and send it to Chris as well. This way, we can make sure residents can read all about it on our website. In your email to Chris, you can include pictures or other detailed information you want RC residents to know. Chris' email address is: sloweyrcpoa@yahoo.com.
WHEN DO I START SENDING INFORMATION TO ROZ & CHRIS?:
Starting now! We will put your information on the current website and transition it over to the new site.
We believe that you will find the new site useful for you as committee chairs and as members of our community. We are really excited to get the site up and running and will let you know as soon as we go live!
In the meantime, you can still use the current site. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
