Board of Directors

The mission of the Board of Directors is to objectively represent the best interest of the property owners by seeking to enhance property values and preserve the hill country atmosphere concurrent with meeting fiduciary and legal responsibilities. The board will also strive to heighten community awareness and encourage neighborhood involvement.

Directors are elected for two-year staggered terms. The term of office begins at the first regularly scheduled Board meeting, following election at the Annual Membership Meeting in October of each year. Officers of the Board are chosen by the elected directors.

Board Meetings

Regular meetings of the Board are specified in the Bylaws and are currently being held on the third Thursday of January, April, July, September and November of each year.

As our area grows and continues to do so, obtaining meeting space has become more and more challenging. Please check here  for the time and location for each meeting.

Meetings are conducted with an open portion at the beginning of each session specifically for property owners to address the Board as we believe it to be in the best interest of the community to allow residents to share comments and concerns. 

Those wishing to address the Board must pre-register with the AMS Property Manager, Ms. Joanna Johnson, at (210)829-7202 Ext. 124, or (866) 232-4386 at least twenty-four hours in advance of the meeting. The specific topic needs to be identified in the pre-registration request. 

After this segment, the Board moves to a closed meeting. Homeowner and Property Owners Associations are not subject to the Open Meeting Act.
 
Formal Minutes are kept of all Board Meetings by the Board Secretary. Special Meetings of the Board may be called when circumstances require, pursuant to requirements specified in the Bylaws.

The River Crossing POA contracts with Association Management Services (AMS) to provide administrative and management services to support the POA Board, committees, homeowners, contractors and builders.
