River Crossing has an active NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH program and participates in the annual NATIONAL NIGHT OUT program. See the report of the latest watch coordinators here.Our 2010, National Night Out will be celebrated in October. Exact date to be determined. Look for various activities in each R/C neighborhood. Comal County Sheriff
The Comal County Sheriff operates a Crime Prevention Unit which is also responsible for the Neighborhood Watch program. See their web page HERE. They provide a Neighborhood Crime Watch Training Manual which you can view or download. The Sheriff's office also offers 'Vacation Patrol'. Just call 830-608-8260 during normal business hours, or Sheriff's Dispatch at 830-620-3400 other times. |
Spring Branch Volunteer Fire Dept.
The Spring Branch Volunteer Fire Dept. provides services to 125 sq. miles of the Hill Country, including River Crossing. The Central Station is located at 9850 FM 311, near the intersection of US Hwy 281 in Spring Branch. For Emergency Service call 911.Annual membership is a bargain, at $30/year/home. Home address signs are available for $25 including delivery and installation. Membership also provides a $1,000 insurance policy to any member whose home is damged by fire. Bulverde-Spring Branch EMS
The Bulverde-Spring Branch EMS provides emergency medical services to western Comal County, including River Crossing. Currently located at 4201 US Hwy 281 N Spring Branch, TX 78070, about .4 miles north of Hwy 46, they are building a new facility slighly further north and adjacent to River Crossing. Adequate exterior lighting is an effective and economical night crime deterrent. Residents are encouraged to illuminate exterior lights, both front and rear, at night.
